The Maxspect Aeraqua Duo skimmer is a new generation skimmer with a design that offers several advantages and innovations:
 
Almost silent operation
The Aeraqua Duo skimmer is powered by a Maxspect turbine Duo pump with two inlets and two outlets. Since this pump uses sine wave technology, this makes the Aeraqua Duo very quiet.
 
Two water inlets
The Aeraqua Duo has two water intakes allowing the skimmer to pump water from both sides. When one of the inlets is completely closed, the skimmer also sucks in water from the inside, which improves water filtration in the aquarium.
 
Twin Needle Wheels
Each inlet has two needle wheels, one rotating and the other static. This unique, patented design creates small, higher density mini-bubbles, which greatly improves sludge removal efficiency.
 
Everything is integrated
The elegance and refinement of the Aeraqua Duo was made possible through several ingenious ideas such as hiding the air silencer in the skimmer's base plate, integrating the air pipes and a water level regulator on the skimmer's body. This latter function allows you to easily and accurately adjust the water level in the skimmer.

Full control of the Aeraqua Duo skimmer with Syna-G app
Aeraqua Duo skimmer can be controlled by smartphone and tablet with SYNA-G app for iOS or Android. This requires an ICV6 interface, sold separately.

Sensor
overflow The Aeraqua Duo is equipped with an overflow sensor that can detect the water level in the collection cup and send a warning signal if necessary.
 
Fast closing and opening
The fast closing and opening design allows for very easy and quick removal of the collecting bucket and also completely disassembles the Aeraqua Duo for maintenance, cleaning and maintenance.
 
Water intakes
The unique design of the Aeraqua Duo allows you to choose, depending on the animal population in the aquarium, how water should be sucked into the skimmer by rotating the water inlets.

For an aquarium with a capacity of 400 to 750 liters with a large number of animals, it is recommended to open one water inlet 80% and completely close the other inlet to recirculate the water in the skimmer.

For an aquarium with a capacity of 750 to 1250 liters with a moderate number of animals, it is recommended to fully open one water inlet and open another from 30% to 50% to pump and recirculate water to the skimmer at the same time.

For aquariums from 1250 to 1700 liters with small populations, it is recommended to open both water inlets completely.

However, the above suggestions are only general guidelines to help explain the use of the two water inlets. What works best for your aquarium will only be tested after careful observation and tuning of the Aeraqua Duo.
